Bregje TermeerBregje Termeer obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in anthropology at the University of Amsterdam. She also holds a degree in photography, obtained at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. For her Master thesis Bregje conducted fieldwork among second generation shia women in Manchester. She currently works on a PhD project that is part of the research project Citizenship, National Canons, and the Issue of Cultural Diversity. The Netherlands in International Perspective (Jan Willem Duyvendak, Peter Geschiere, Evelien Tonkens). Her project concerns emotional senses of belonging, feeling at home and attachment to place among native-born Dutch and migrants in the Netherlands and is supervised by Jan Willem Duyvendak. The project has acquired an important NWO subvention.
