Enza Lissandrello

Enza Lissandrello has studied Architecture with Urban & Regional Planning Specialisation at the University of Genoa in Italy. After her degree she has taken part in various researches at the Department of Spatial Planning, University of Genoa for European programmes applications at urban and regional scales. She has worked in interdisciplinary research groups for the development of EU INTERREG programme in Environmental Risks management at the nation-state border between Italy and France. As PhD student in Public Policy and Planning at University IUAV in Venice (Italy) and then in Political Geography at School of Management Radboud University of Nijmegen, she has studied the effects of experimental processes of planning and public policies in cross-border regionalism according to cross-border governance features. Since September 2005, she is working as a post-doc researcher on reflexive governance and system innovation with KSI-ASSR group. She is currently teaching in the master course on Multi-Level Governance and EU Democratic Challenges at Department of Political Science UvA.

Her interests have concerned governance and innovative approaches on multi-level, network and reflexive democratic governance; territorial decision-making, institutional transformation, and transition experiments. She is active in studying the change of public actions in ‘risk’ contemporary society, deliberative democracy, re-structuration theories. She is theoretically oriented to interpretative aspects of public policy analysis, to the study of the contemporary strategies of interactions between actors and policy discourses. She likes interact and crossing different disciplines and forms of knowledge.
