Wertheim LectureEvery year a public lecture named after Wim Wertheim, the founding father of Non-Western Sociology in Amsterdam, is delivered by a renowned scholar working on Asia. From 2006 onward ASiA will co-host this event in cooperation with the Amsterdam School for Social Science Research, its longstanding organizer. ASiA is currently working with the Wertheim lecturers to provide all past lectures in pdf format on this site. Eventually the names of all lecturers will be clickable to obtain a short biography. Also, all lecture titles will be clickable to obtain a full version of the lecture text.
