CALL FOR PAPERS

ESPAnet Social Policy Research Day on 22 April 2010 at the University of Amsterdam.

The 2010 Social Policy Research Day will take place on the 22nd of April at the University of Amsterdam.
The Social Policy Research Day provides an opportunity for PhD candidates to present their projects that engage in the broad field of social policy (primarily in the form of papers, however, project outlines presented on posters are also possible).  After presenting their work, PhD candidates can receive constructive criticism from senior researchers and, if time allows, benefit from a short discussion among participants. The second goal is to enable PhD candidates and senior researchers from diverse disciplines who are engaged in social policy research to meet each other and learn about each others' projects. The Amsterdam organizational team invites you to participate: if you are a PhD candidate, we welcome your paper or your poster presentation; if you are a senior researcher, we encourage your participation as a commentator.

The main language will be English to engable foreign PhD candidates studying in Dutch universities to participate.
Participation is free. We will provide refreshments and lunch.

If you would like to participate, please register by sending an email to Martine Buijs (m.m.buijs@uva.nl) before the 20th of December 2009.  Along with this email, please send us an abstract of your paper (maximum of 500 words) or the title of your poster presentation.  This will enable us to match your topics with appropriate discussants.

Please spread the word to any other PhD candidates or senior researchers who would also like to participate.

In case there is a large number of registrations, the meeting will be extended to 2 days, the 22nd and the 23rd of April, 2010.
