Pride LindaPride Linda obtained a Masters in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Cape Town (2003) with the thesis titled: “Characterisation of the Role of Brain Factor 1 in the Olfactory Neuroepithelium during Neuronal Development”. She then went on to work on the Molecular Epidemiology of Tuberculosis (TB) of a particular location in Cape Town, to determine the transmission of TB in this location, at the Department of Medical Biochemistry at the University of Stellenbosch. Her current research project concerns the care and support arrangements/structures for people on antiretroviral therapy (ART) in South Africa and how these structures/arrangements impact on ones adherence to treatment. This project is part of the broader research programme “AIDS Medicines in Resource-Poor Settings (AMRP): Learning from district level transformation in health cultures and care arrangements in Uganda and South Africa”. This research is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
